The novel is based around Harry Allwear, a Tripler tracker. Harry becomes infected with the Tripler virus while tracking a highly sought after Tripler, and it is here that the story really starts.
Everyone needs to be questioned. No one can be trusted. The infected have built an army and plan to take over the human race. Codenamed Agent Zero, Harry's priority is to keep his two versions, Will and Way, in line, while proving to those around him that he (they) can be trusted.
There's so many elements to this story that make it a page turner: Missing colleagues, a lost love, new forms of medication to kill the virus, and with the world around Harry so wonderfully descriptive, it's not hard to visualise each scene as a glorious actioned packed adventure on the big screen. Every detail is covered, from the specialised weapons, to the gory aftermath of a fight scene. (And I love a bit of gore.)
The element that stands out the most to me within this story is the relationships. I'm a sucker for the bitter-sweet, and I can't help but think that Book #1 is only the beginning for Harry. However, I won't spoil it for those who haven't read it, but I will urge you to add this one to your list of 'to reads'.
This story takes talking to yourself to the next level.
Where there's a Will, there's a Way. And a Harry.
