But first, an apothecary. Denise has a great plan and it involves lots and lots of drugs ... ah ... medicine. She takes Daryl and Rosita along with her for the braun and then proceeds to start acting like someone who has never had to behave rationally in a zombie apocalypse. Oh ... wait. It was at this point that I'd said goodbye to Denise, I mean, who walks into a dark room where the groaning is coming from unless you're one of the originals?
But Denise lives, at least for another few minutes and launches into some grand speech of taking risks and some guy who turns out to be her brother. Why? Who knows. Why did we learn all of these things about Denise? What was the significance behind her relationship with Tara or being saved by the Wolf? Was it all just so we had a connection with her that would make her death seem more ... meaningful?
Eugene's new found obsession with fitting in or making a difference has him wearing boots that are too big, but in this case, Abraham tells him to make his own way home, and the two go their separate ways.
This starts off the series of events that lead to the death of our beloved doctor in a gruesomely beautiful arrow-through-the-head moment. Ah ... bliss.
Seriously, who takes the only doctor in town out on a supply jaunt after recent events?
Lastly, and as a last ditch attempt at adding another story line into this episode, Carol has decided to leave the group. Of course, this isn't the first time this has happened, but it does raise the same question from last week: What the hell is going on with Carol? Credit to the writers of the show who have made us question this at all.
Is Carol lost, or is she just cleverly playing the scared Apocandrian?
